Die Geschichte von DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS spielt zu Beginn einer Ära großer Umbrüche in den Drei Königreichen.Der namenlose Protagonist, ein reisender Kampfkünstler mit Gedächtnisverlust, gerät in einen gewaltigen Konflikt. Im Verlauf des Spiels trifft man verschiedene Entscheidungen, die sich auf die Drei Königreiche auswirken, wobei ein verborgenes Geheimnis des Helden eine zentrale Rolle spielt.
In seinen Schlachten wird der namenlose Held manchmal allein inden Kampfziehen, während er sich zu anderen Zeiten mit verbündeten Offizieren und Soldaten zusammenschließt, um gegen die zahlreichen feindlichen Truppen anzutreten. Die Spieler können sich auf die Stärken der begleitenden Musou-Offiziere verlassen, ihren Einheiten Befehle erteilen oder gegen feindliche Armeen vorgehen. Dabei können sie ihre Strategien variieren, um die tödlichen Schlachtfelder in dieser epischen 1 vs. 1.000-Action zu erobern.
Bekannte und mächtige Offiziere wie Lu Bu warten in DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS darauf, den jungen Kampfkünstler herauszufordern. Diese mit fast übermenschlichen Kräften ausgestatteten Offiziere sorgen für actionreiche und herausfordernde Kämpfe, die jederzeit für Spannung sorgen.
