KOEI TECMO Europe und das berühmte Entwicklerstudio Team NINJA (Nioh, Ninja Gaiden) haben eine spielbare Demo für ihr kommendes Masocore-Epos Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty veröffentlicht. Die Demo ist von Freitag, den 16. September um 13:00 Uhr CEST bis Montag, den 26. September um 08:59 Uhr CEST auf Xbox Series X|S und PlayStation®5 verfügbar.
Die actiongeladene Demo bietet einen Einblick in die düstere Welt der Drei Reiche, die dem Wahnsinn verfallen ist. Hier tobt ein chaotischen Kampf um die Rettung eines einst geliebten Landes, das nun von Dämonen heimgesucht wird. Die Demo zeigt intensive Schwertkämpfe, die auf den chinesischen Kampfkünsten basieren, und demonstriert die Strategien und die Schnelligkeit des Kampfes. Gleichzeitig gibt sie den Spielern auch einen Vorgeschmack auf den Online-Mehrspielermodus, die Charaktererstellung und die Fähigkeiten im Spiel, wie beispielsweise die vertikale Erkundung und die Bedeutung von Moral. Als Bonus erhält jeder, der die Demo durchspielt, den besonderen Gegenstand „Crouching Dragon Helmet", der bei Veröffentlichung des Hauptspiels ausgerüstet und verwendet werden kann. Über die Demo wird auch eine Umfrage zur Verfügung gestellt, um das Feedback der Spieler zu sammeln und bei der weiteren Entwicklung des Spiels zu helfen. Diejenigen, die an der Umfrage teilnehmen, erhalten ein Original-Wallpaper als kleines Zeichen der Aufmerksamkeit.
Darüber hinaus hat Team NINJA ein Tutorial-Video erstellt, das den Spielern den Einstieg in die Feinheiten des Masocore-Erlebnisses erleichtern soll. Hier werden auch die Techniken näher beleuchtet, die von grundlegenden Gegenangriffen bis hin zum Umgang mit verschiedenen Waffen erforderlich sind.
Passend zur Veröffentlichung der Demo wurde außerdem eine „Wo Long Highlights"-Twitter-Kampagne gestartet. Hierzu folgt man dem offiziellen Twitter-Account (@WoLongOfficial) und postet ein Gameplay-Highlight unter dem Hashtag #WoLongDemoEU. Anschließend werden zehn Gewinner ausgewählt und diese erhalten jeweils ein original Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty-T-Shirt.
