Während des gesamten Spiels müssen muss man schnell handeln, da die beispiellose Größe und das Ausmaß der feindlichen Armeen das Schlachtfeld überwältigen. Die Koordination mit verbündeten Armeen ist der Schlüssel, während die Spieler in Echtzeit Kampftaktiken anwenden und sich in den spannendsten Kämpfen der Geschichte von DYNASTY WARRIORS durch Horden von Soldaten kämpfen.
Darüber hinaus wird die Geschichte zum ersten Mal in einem DYNASTY WARRIORS-Titel durch die Augen eines namenlosen Helden erzählt, der sich durch die historische Geschichte des Drei-Königreiche-Krieges kämpft, während in ganz China das Chaos ausbricht. Dabei werden die riesigen Gebiete und die rücksichtslosen Generäle intensiv wie nie zuvor präsentiert!
