Deep Silver annonce aujourd’hui la création d’un tout nouveau studio qui sera en charge de ressusciter la franchise très appréciée TimeSplitters. Les principaux membres originels de l’équipe de Free Radical Design, y compris les fondateurs Steve Ellis et David Doak, se sont réunis pour reformer l’ancien studio.
L’équipe de Free Radical Design bénéficie de plus de 22 ans d’expérience via diverses productions dans le domaine du divertissement. Ils sont notamment responsables de certaines des licences de jeux vidéo les plus appréciées et les plus iconiques du début des années 2000, avec entre autres TimeSplitters, le premier titre sorti en 2000. Cette série acclamée par la critique a eu droit à deux épisodes supplémentaires formant ainsi une trilogie. Chaque épisode est rempli d’humour et de références issues de la pop culture que les joueurs découvrent tandis qu’ils se battent dans des lieux variés à travers différentes périodes historiques. « C’est grâce à son style unique que la série TimeSplitters bénéficie d’autant de fans passionnés qui sauront, sans aucun doute, apprécier la formation du dernier studio de Deep Silver. Ils seront ainsi impatients d’en apprendre plus sur l’avancée de la franchise et nous serons très heureux de leur en dévoiler plus lorsque nous le pourrons» explique Paul Nicholls, Global Brand et Marketing Director chez Deep Silver.

L’équipe de Free Radical Design débutera le développement du prochain jeu TimeSplitters dans les mois à venir. Ils se concentrent pour le moment sur la construction du studio, qui sera situé à Nottingham. Des offres d’emplois pour intégrer l’équipe seront disponibles en temps et en heure.
