플레이온과 프랑스 게임 스튜디오 이블 랩터(Evil Raptor)는 3D 액션 어드벤쳐 슈팅 게임 ‘아킴봇(Akimbot)’을 2024년 8월 29일 플레이스테이션 5, 엑스박스 시리즈 X/S와 스팀 플랫폼에 출시한다고 밝혔다. 게임 출시일과 함께 ‘스팀 섬머 페스트’에서 공개한 무료 데모 버전은 게임 정식 출시일까지 스팀 플랫폼에서 체험할 수 있다.

아킴봇에서 플레이어는 로봇만이 존재하는 우주 세계를 배경으로 로봇 계의 무법자이자 훈남인 엑시가 되어 그의 사랑스러운 조수 로봇 쉽셋과 함께 우주선을 조종하며 은하계를 여행하고, 로봇 군대와 맞서 싸우면서 우주 종말을 막는 블록버스터급 임무를 수행하게 된다.
함께 공개된 무료 데모 버전에서 플레이어는 데이터 베이에 있는 아킴봇의 첫 번째 이야기 구간을 플레이할 수 있으며 이를 통해 아킴봇만의 독특한 무기 휠과 전투 시스템, 은하계 배경을 체험할 수 있다. 개발사 이블 랩터의 디스코드 채널에서 데모 버전에 대한 생각을 개발사에 공유할 수 있다.
